When Chris Bren, Ben Freedman and Toddy Stewart moved their creative production company, Picture Farm, into a storefront on Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, they realized a dream to offer a financially viable exhibition venue to the vibrant local community of artists and neighborhood causes. Between 2011 and 2018, they would present over a hundred solo and group shows, community fundraisers, pop up exhibitions, craft workshops and cultural events.

The physical gallery space at 338 Wythe Ave closed in January of 2018 when Picture Farm moved its New York office to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, but the project lives on with multiple exhibitions in development and in the form of annual events like It Doesn't Not Work and The Picture Farm Film Festival.
